Casinacho Games

Casinacho Games is a collection of small arcade rounds stitched together with a cheerful, cartoon look. Each mini-game runs about a minute, and you tap or swipe to react to things flying across the screen. The pace ramps up the longer you survive, which is where the game gets its hooks into you.

Controls are the strong point. Taps register cleanly, and the hit zones are generous enough that you rarely blame the game for a miss. We liked that you can jump straight into a round without wading through menus, which matters when you only have a minute in line somewhere.

It's not deep, and it doesn't pretend to be. After a long session the rounds start to blur together. But as a pick-up-for-two-minutes game, it does exactly what it sets out to do, and the chunky art keeps it from feeling cheap.
