Keeping your phone alive during long sessions
Some games eat battery like it's their job. Racers and RPGs with heavy effects are the worst offenders, and nothing kills a good run like a low-power warning.
The easiest win is dropping the frame rate cap if a game offers one. Sixty frames looks nice, but on long sessions thirty is plenty and saves a surprising amount of power.
Screen brightness is the other big one. Most games are perfectly readable a notch or two below max, and you'll feel the difference over an hour. Turning off vibration helps a little too.
Finally, close the thing when you're done. A lot of games keep running background tasks if you just minimize them. A real close saves more than people expect.
